Carolyn designs and leads programs in the areas of transition, leadership, creativity, and fulfillment and has presented for several thousand people in diverse venues. Her audiences and participants seek her out repeatedly, citing the breakthrough results her workshops produce.
Author of the 1993 national bestseller, The Family Patterns Workbook, Carolyn appeared on Oprah and other media during an extensive national book tour. She also wrote a manual on healthy parenting for UNICEF as part of their effort to address psychosocial as well as survival needs of children and adolescents in the developing world. For eight years, Carolyn taught in and administered a graduate program in East-West Psychology at California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. Students in her classes in adult development, writing, and teaching and presentation skills consistently rated her as the best instructor they had ever had. She has also taught for University of California Extension, Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, West Valley College, and Writers Connection. Carolyn used her graduate psychology training for ten years at a community counseling center she co-founded. She holds a master's degree in counseling psychology from American Academy of Family Studies.
