CULTIVATING THE WELL-BEING OF “ENOUGH”: With Carolyn Foster and Becky Wright NOVEMBER 19-21, 2010
This weekend retreat for women therapists focuses on how we can tend the precious resource of well-being in all its aspects physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. In pouring ourselves out for our clients, we may have over-tapped the water-table of our own natural resources. Mirroring our clients’ anxieties can bring out our own insecurities and wear us down. To heal, we must cultivate our own garden of well-being. Retreating in good company can help us re-enter what Wayne Muller calls “a life of deep sufficiency.” Through writing, sharing, guided meditation, art, and ritual, we will create space for renewal and resilience. Come rest in the beauty of Santa Sabina’s rooms and gardens. From a place of renewed clarity, we will be well-equipped to enjoy the end of this year and to begin afresh past the holidays. Come to let go and to be held, nurtured, and refreshed by the retreat experience! REGISTER by calling Carolyn’s voicemail, (510) 484-3078 on or after Tuesday, September 7. We are sharing the center with a quiet group, so there are a limited number of rooms available. You can also e-mail Carolyn at cjf@creativechoices.net. The cost of the retreat is $300 for a double room, $350 for a single room. This includes lodging, program, and six meals, from dinner Friday night through lunch Sunday. Special note: We have been approved to offer CEUs for our retreats (provider #PCE 4594). You can receive 12 CEUs for an extra charge of $35. Please share the word about this opportunity with your colleagues.
